Kaleb, a collector of exotic creatures, buys a highly venomous desert spider and keeps it in a shoebox. The spider escapes, multiplies at an alarming rate, and quickly infests their entire apartment building. After a resident is killed, the police seal the building, trapping everyone inside with the deadly swarm. The survivors must fight their way out, discovering the creatures are repelled by light, leading to a desperate race against time through web-filled tunnels.
